Mildred Mae

The Brief

New logo for Mildred Mae, an empathy-driven brand consultancy on a quest for truth.

I worked with Mildred Mae to develop their visual identity in what fonts and palette they would be using, then ultimately designing their logo and relaunching their website. It was exciting to lean into a bold, confident color palette that asserts its feminity and urban candor: NYC meets bold lipstick.

The ingredients

  • Midge the Pigeon

Midge served as the star of the show. Midge let a quirky energy emerge as a prominent NYC denizen.

  • A powerful palette

MM works from confidence, and these hues felt both vivd and strong.

  • Gloria Mae

You can see both of the client’s grandmothers, each with a unique story of feminine strength.

  • Florence Mildred

Florence & Gloria bring a strong lipstick game as well as big 1950s “Mad Men” (minus the toxic masculinity) energy.

  • Vanderbilt Gate

The cast iron in Central Park joined delicate detail with strength and provided the main inspiration.
